Desktop Support

The Desktop Support Team provides computer support for enterprise-level computing, administrative desktop computing, the university's open computer labs, and has field offices to give directed support to UT's colleges. Desktop Support, coordinating with the Service Request Line (SRL; also known as the "Help Desk"), provides desktop computing assistance to UT's administrative support offices and residence halls. They install PC hardware, configure software, and troubleshoot applications supported by EIT that are used in these offices. Our Lab Support Group maintains the campuses open EIT computing labs. Such labs are staffed by EIT employees and student lab assistants. Lastly, the field offices, known as College Computing Offices (CCO), assist a college's faculty, staff, and students with instructional or research computing tasks, provide computer training and desktop support, and operate college computer labs. CCOs can be reached through the SRL, and currently include:
